Dr. Shelley’s most popular presentations which she offers from a keynote to a full-day seminar include:

The Conscious Leader Presentations: 9 Principles and Practices to Create a Wide-awake and Productive Workplace

The book was originally based on a seminar entitled “Ten Tenets for Success and Well-being: What You Need to Know to Enter the Workplace,” which was originally created for young Wall Street analysts and the popularity of the seminar drove it up the ladder.

The Conscious Leader is a more robust and updated presentation that can be customized to emphasize certain principles that an organization finds most relevant such as Diversity, Change, Self-awareness, etc. Overall, it provides information about how all human beings function psychologically in the workplace that has gone missing from the collective knowledge bank.  With jargon-free explanations, humorous and inspiring stories, Dr. Shelley makes the 9 principles and practices accessible and immediately applicable.

Breaking the Glass Ceiling Within

Part of what continues gender inequality in the workplace is primarily social and political – discrimination and harassment and sexism in all its subtle forms. The reality is that social and political solutions are necessary to affect change and these changes will continue to take time.

But, also, part of what impedes the success of women are the internal conflicts that may be created by, or intensified by, these external conflicts. Of course internal and external conflicts will interact, and sometimes cause women, understandably, to respond in less than optimal ways which will only serve to strengthen the external barriers.

This seminar focuses on how women can get their own psychological houses in order such as learning what causes self-sabotage and what to do about it, how to deal with anger more effectively, how to find and use their own unique voices so that they can create opportunities for success and satisfaction.
